Aron Ludwig, born in Dresden (Germany), studied composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Michael Jarrell, Johannes Maria Staud, and Axel Seidelmann, and graduated with honours. He also finished studies in the field of Tonmeister at the same university.
In 2018 he was awarded for his composition Now What III at the International Summer Academy of the mdw and received a prize at the Sounds of Matter competition. In the same year he was selected as one of the finalists of the Ö1 Talentebörse-Kompositionspreis. In 2021 he conducted the première of his piece fractures with the Tonkünstler-Orchestra as part of the Ink Still Wet workshop with Toshio Hosokawa.
He took part in other workshops with composers such as Franck Bedrossian, Pierluigi Billone, Francesco Filidei, Giorgio Netti, Alberto Posadas and Yann Robin. His pieces have been performed in Austria and Germany by ensembles such as Ensemble Wiener Collage, Platypus Ensemble Wien, ensemble N, and the duo Helbig-Kovač, and have been broadcast on the Austrian radio Ö1.
Aron Ludwig is a member of the organizing team of the Platypus Ensemble and a member of ensemble N.
